Laboratorios Orizaba was founded in 1975 in the city of Orizaba, Veracruz, Mexico, with altruistic means of scientific research to study and develop the active principles discovered from plants with therapeutic purposes for human usage.
In 1980 the company became Incorporated and requested from the authorities all the necessary sanitary licenses for the commercialization of its pharmaceutical products, which according to their characteristics, fall into the field of homeopathic medicine.
The development carried by the research resulted then on the formulation of creams and lotions based on natural active principles with both, therapeutic and cosmetic use.
Then on 1988 the products come out on the market with a line of skin and hair treatments.
Starting on 1990 Laboratorios Orizaba adds to the production the manufacture of its own containers for the pharmaceuticals as well as the cosmetics; these containers were later introduced into the national market.
Nowadays, the plastics division grew into a new line of home-use products. Recently the production plant was expanded to manufacture Elastomers; this came to be thanks to the wide experience of our CEO and owner of Industrias Orizaba S.A., a company that for over 20 years manufactured spare parts and rubber packages provided to companies such as PEMEX, TAMSA, FFCC, CERVECERIA MOCTEZUMA, METALVER, as well as the bottling business, carrying all this experience to his current company, Laboratorios Orizaba.
Laboratorios Orizaba can be categorized as a medium sized, 100 percent Mexican company with aspirations such as growth and projection towards wider markets, this can be possible thanks to the quality and the characteristics of its products which can be well established on foreign markets.
Currently the company has four production divisions: Pharmaceuticals, Cosmetics, Plastics, and Elastomers.
The facilities consist of two buildings, the first one a research laboratory for the investigation of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics where all the chemists, medics, research and administration staff are located. The second one is the manufacturing plant where all the plastic containers, home-use products, and rubber packages are made.
